Date of Hike: Friday, October 11th
Trails: Mittersill-Cannon Trail
Trail Conditions: The trail travels up the ski slopes over mostly good footing, one section of loose dirt and rocks with a little erosion and one section of soggy grass that is moving from the slab underneath. Trail never gets steep and has great views, a nice alternative from the other approaches. Park at the end of Lot #1 at the Mittersill Ski Area, coming from I-93, take exit 34C onto Route 18, take a left at the big 'Mittersill Alpine Village' sign and take an immediate right and Lot #1 will be on your left a little ways down. The trail starts where the chairlift is and there is a sign about twenty yards up the slope that says Mittersill-Cannon Trail, the trail is blazed with yellow and easy to follow. Lots of great views along the way! Report / Pictures
