Date of Hike: 05/23/2009
Trail Conditions: A few trees down on Caps Ridge but not bad, completely Snow Free, No snow on Gulfside trail but was a little off trail in scrub near Sphinx Col Some snow at the lower Lake at LOC. None on Monroe, See Unadogger's report for conditions further south o C-Path. on Ike loop, they have dropped logs for upcoming trail work.
Special Equipment Required: Glove liners were nice. several of the hikers I came across hwere holding jacket sleeves over their hands.
Comments: Optional - Jefferson Notch Road was closed, snow free but closed. Soft in a couple spots. I understand it may be washed out north of the notch. Saw one car in the lot, USFS is doing a bird study & has a key to the gate. Road walk added 3.4 miles & about 900 feet of gain to a long trip that started with a biek ride from C-Notch to just past the gate
