Great day to do our monthly hike up Caribou. Snow is still up to 3' deep but getting soft. Few exposed rocks along the way, stream crossings very easy. Summit was completely dry, suprisingly no ice anywhere. I wore Koflachs and barebooted easily. My big guy needed snowshoes as he was postholing a lot. Rail is getting thin and difficult to walk on. Road is closed at Pooh Corner, necessitating additional road walk. Road is still frozen though but mud season is coming soon. The Owner has placed logs at road entrance so no cars can travel past Pooh Corner nursery. No easter bunnies in site but I found four easter eggs in my pack! Temps in the 20's with wind chill today, decent views. Always a great hike. Lisa and BBG
