Trail Conditions: Well packed highway, for the most part. A bit blown over in spots caused a few post holes when folks wandered a bit. I'll admit I wandered once or twice myself. Sawyer River Road is open for snowmobiles.
Special Equipment Required: I used crampons end-to-end for increased traction although snowshoes or even bareboots would have been fine.
Comments: Beautiful morning for a "cloudy" day. Things got a bit overcast late morning/early afternoon. Note that the parking lot at the beginning of Sawyer River Rd is a skating rink. Proceed with caution on foot or tires.
