Date of Hike: 5/3
Trail Conditions: Muddy, monorail for last third of the trail. All river crossings are bridged. Noticable temperature drop in the notch, with the mist turning to freezing rain.
Special Equipment Required: Used crampons for the monorail, helpful but not required. Poles certainly help for stability.
Comments: Planned on doing Carter Dome, but late start and poor weather made us change our goal. Somewhat frustrating day, but still a gret day in the woods.
