Hike: Carters Loop

Date: March 5, 2011

On Saturday, (3/5/2011), Sue and I are hiking a loop of The Carters (South and Middle). Anybody want to join the fun?

We’re planning on-trail target of 8:00am.

We hike a moderate pace, which is around book time or a little more.

Well, Earl, it looks like we might run into each other! I'm planning the same trip, but with Carter Dome thrown in. Timing is about the same. I'll call you. Would tonight be good?

Here are some additional details for the planned hike....

Targeting an on-trail time: 8:00am from NMB Trailhead


We plan to hike the Carter loop clockwise. In other words, hike
to Middle Carter first and continue to South Carter. Then, at Zeta Pass if
we're in good shape - do an up-and-down on Carter Dome. If anybody decides they're not interested in hiking Carter Dome they can simply head straight out to the trailhead.



Planned hikers as of now:

Jason Berard, Whichway, Delilah, Sirdar, Sue, and me.

We also have a couple possible additions.

If you're interested, it's a big place and there's plenty of room.

may cross paths...i'll be going up 19 MBT to zeta to hight and back but not sure of starting time...
