Lower parts of the trail are muddy and wet, unless you start real early and it is frozen as it was for me today. Once past the lookout at 1.8 miles, traction devices are needed, there is still ice underneath the granular thin snow pack.
Was quite cold, icy and windy on the summit despite the warmth at the trailhead.
Be prepared for winter conditions, despite the spring like conditions at the trailhed.
