Start and finish at Barnum rd. parking visiting Thomas Cole, Black Dome Mountains via Black Dome Range Trail then continuing to Blackhead Mountain via Blackhead Mountain Trail. Turned back at the junction of Blackhead Mountain Trail/Escarpment Trail. Extremely cold and windy day, sub zero temps on all mountains with sun. 2-3 feet of soft powder with some ice. Snowshoes the entire way though some in the group of seven opted for microspikes. It was a nice day to play in the wilderness.
