The Cherry Mountain Trail (from NH Rt. 115) to Mt. Martha was in great shape. No blowdowns, no mud, no significant water crossings. There was a light covering of snow starting at the trailhead. The snow-depth topped out at about 3-inches at the higher elevations. I used Microspikes for descending the steep segment on Owl's Head, and for the steep rocky segment at the upper end of the Cherry Mountain Trail. However, Microspikes were unnecessary for other parts of this hike.
The Martha's Mile Trail is one of my adopted trails. It was in good shape following some light maintenance by removing five minor blowdowns.
My BLOG has some photos taken during this trek.
