Chicken Coop Brook

Has anyone bushwhacked up chicken coop brook to the Basin / Saddleback col? If so, is it very steep or very thick growth?

A group of six of us are going to be staying at the ADK Grace Camp (near JBL) Feb 5th thru 9th. On Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday, a few of us will make a run at Haystack and Basin, with a possible return via CC brook. The weather will determine which day we will attempt this trip.

We would like to have you join us if you are free one these days. We may even have a bunk available, one of our group may have to cancel. Contact me at [email protected] if you would like to try to arrange a trip together.

For a return after Haystack and Basin, it is a very friendly walk, even if the route is not broken. VERY hard to go wrong/get lost, even without map, compass, GPS, etc. as long as you turn left when you get into the col.
