Chicken Coop Brook

Has anyone bushwhacked up chicken coop brook to the Basin / Saddleback col? If so, is it very steep or very thick growth? Do you recommend this approach?

When I did it, it was rather open. It was late Jan, and the snow was fairly deep, so it may have hidden a lot. Not at all steep. The steep stuff began once the col was reached. There was something which may have been a slide.. too much snow to tell for sure.

Oh...My trip there was pre-Floyd.

It's pretty open, and I would say, quite pretty. Is it steep? No steeper them many other mountain approaches. Would I recommend it.......... ummmmmm........

If your into that sorta thing. and your interested in skipping either SB or Basin on a loop.
