Trail Conditions: A fair amount of watery slush from the Loj to the Dam with some occasional bare spots; Soft snow otherwise with significant amounts of post-holes (including many snowshoe-sized) atop the Cliff summit area.

Special Equipment Required: Snowshoes. In addition, crampons very useful for the descent of some of the "cliffs" on Cliff.

*Note about Redfield herd path: There are some misleading tracks veering away from the herd path up Redfield. About half way (20/30 mins?) up the path there is a downed and bare log strewn across the path that one must climb over. About 20 steps beyond this, the true herd path curves RIGHT. (There are some misleading tracks that continue straight, along the brook, which would proceed to require a bushwhack the rest of the way to the top.) Many thanks to all the people we met out on Saturday who gave us the heads up on this!
