climbers help discover new Lichens in Yosemite

I did not know lichen is a fungus and an algae living in a symbiotic relationship drawing nutrients directly from the atmosphere. Sounds like a relationship I had in college.

A fungus and an algae met at a bar.
Things progressed and they moved in together.

Good chance that fungus and lichen are also unaware that they have a symbiotic relationship. So....it follows that people are also unaware of what is really going on in their relationships. However, there are strong hints of this along the way.
