Conditions on Marshall and Colden, ADK's?

Hi, some of us here are doing Marshall or Colden on Sunday and are wondering as to the conditions, snow depth, etc. I appreciate all info/advice you care to give us. Thanks, Fred

Someone just posted this for Marshall on the 21st in the trail conditions section.....


Conditions: Still tons of wet snow! Lack of traffic made the going slow blazing my own path for just about the entire way. Finding the turn off for Mt. Marshall is easy at the stream, but finding a path to follow is impossible, the snow is too deep, you fall through it in spots right into the stream and once you get to the top, there would still be 1/2 mile of bushwacking to the top.

I'm heading out tomorrow to do the last snowpack survey for the year, if all goes well. I'll be at Tahawus sometime in the afternoon, I'll post what I see there....
