Today some 20 fellow hikers climbed West Kill Mt. with Aaron as he finished his Catskills 3500's. A magnificent day, wonderful trails, good company and a great way to finish. Way to go Aaron. It was a pleasure to be part of your celebration.

Props to Aaron! Sorry I couldn't escape from the desk for this. (God I miss mid-week hiking). I also finished on West Kill, as did Dawn (Hikethe115) and many others I'm sure. It's a great "finisher" due to the views and the fact that it's a great hike by itself. Also the presence of the Catskills' only summit sign adds to the uniqueness. Did you guys walk the whole ridge from the western terminus of the DP, or did you come up from Diamond Notch? How was the water?

Matt

Awesome - congrats!

Waitaminute - they're only 3500' high?

Oh, nice! Rain on his parade! :D

Indeed, and you will find that just like the Whites, some are easy, and some are challenging.

Come and join us!!! :D

Just so everyone is clear here, I am not knocking MJ. We both finished significant lists on the same day last year, and we met and celebrated our accomplisments at the brewery in Woodstock, NH.

I know Tom's not knocking me, and I'm not knocking Aaron, either, of course!

That's what smilies are for. :)

Congratulations again, Aaron! Would you perhaps be interested in climbing some of the Catskill 100's? I hear there are good views from some of them... :D

hip hip hooray!!!!!!!!!! What an accomplishment!!!

I'm not knocking anyone......... :D

Well, if it took Aaron 35 years to do the Catskills 35... Then a little math might make one wonder how long would it take Aaron to do the Catskills 100??? :D :D

I've congratulated Aaron on his finishment on the 3500 yahoo group but I'll second that over here too..

Jay

Thank you all for your congratulations. I know for many of you either distance or work obligations prevented you from joining me and that is understandable. Here is my trip report and hopefully a photo log will be forthcoming in about a week.

I was surprised to see all these pictures came out with my camera with (dead?) batteries. So I am sharing them with you a week sooner than I thought. I will have more at a future date.
I moved the photo album, so now view my photos from post #23

Congratulations

Aaron congratulations on your completion. I love the timing and the patience you had to wait for the anniversary date.
Grat job I really wanted to be there. If you waited for the weekend I would have been there, but I understand :)
Really great job
