Does anyone know for sure when Coreys road opens up, or is it based on the weather for each year? Maybe it is already open.

I have been told that it will not be open until late May this year to prevent damage to the road during mud season. Don't quote me on that though, its second hand information. I haven't driven down that way recently so I dont know for sure.

The road is officially closed until May 1st, and there are ample signs that inform you of this as you near the end of the plowed section. I drove down until the snowplow turnaround, and it hasnt been plowed past that point. I did see a few tire tracks in the snow, so if you have a four wheel drive vehicle you could probably make it. My understanding is that the gate is not currently closed, but I did not go that far to check for myself. So I guess it's a "drive at your own risk" situation.
