Trail conditions: It looked like someone had gone through during sundays storm but there was 6-8 inches of fresh light powder since then..Snow banks getting deep...parking lot plowed..one blowdown just past the viewpoint..step over or walk around...trail now packed out (snowshoes) to just past the view ledge
Equipment: snowshoes a must..I use poles as well
Comments: Beautiful sunshiny day in the Lakes region..cold enough to keep your powder dry but not so much to get too bundled up.. Cloudy to the north and a few flurries drifted by so i assume there was snow action upcountry..
Sunday's hiker, and i assume it was a solo as trail was broken out but not packed, continued on towards Livermore.. Hard work trucking uphill in the loose snow..big moon steps coming down in places made up for it...nice day
