Trail Conditions Packed snow, with a couple inches of fresh powder on the way out. (Snowing lightly today.) Scant, avoidable ice on Panther's rocky approach. A few blowdowns, nothing special. Multiple herd paths in a few places on Couch, but we found our way without too much difficulty.
Equipment We wore snowshoes all day. We did not use crampons at all. Two other couples were in Stabilicers/Microspikes (carrying snowshoes) or barebooting.
