Hiked Crane Mountain via the pond route up and back. Lots of leaves on the steep ascent to the pond make for tricky footing. The stream outlet leading to the pond has just the beginning of ice forming at the bottom of the running water. Above the pond there are wet and muddy areas of trail, so be prepared for that.
