Crane Mountain Question

Does anyone know the vertical rise from Crane Mountain Pond to the summit? I am trying to calculate the total rise from Putnam Farm Road, the non ladder trail up the mountain. In the McMartin book it states the vertical rise/drop from the pond to the Putnam Farm Road trailhead is 900 feet. I am guessing the vertical from the pond to the summit is 500 feet or so but would appreciate knowing the true measurement.

I get 620' by running a line from the surface of the water to the summit on computer mapping program.
