Hiked out on 12-26-08. Trail is now been packed down by 2 on snowshoes up and down. A few icy spots on the ledges just before spur path. Snowshoes were fine though. Snowshoes were the thing to have today. Postholes thigh deep in some spots even with snowshoes. Snow is a little crusty on top and nice powded once you break thru crust. A very steep climb the whole way made even harder do to the fact no one has been up since recent snow ( no recent tracks anyways ). Trail is now very easy to follow and is broken out all the way to summit. Carried crampons and microspikes, didn't need them. Parking lot is plowed with plenty of parking. Ali the Super Dog made it just fine.
