Crawford/Stairs/Resolution, 5/9/09

Trail Conditions: No snow from 302 to the summit of Crawford, but isolated spots of 2 feet+ of snow on the trail between Crawford and the Stairs/Resolution/Resolution Shelter trail junction. Trail is very wet with lots of standing water between Crawford and Stairs/Resolution/Shelter junction. Spotty, deep snow at Stairs Col and snowshoes were useful on the short trail to the summit of Stairs from Davis Path. A few snow patches on the trail to Resolution but snowshoes not needed.

Special Equipment Required: Snowshoes possibly (but only for Stairs), waterproof boots

Comments: No bugs, 2-3 blowdowns encountered, very few other hikers
