Ha! just realized my son (who is 10) did his 10th High Peak on 10/10/2010! Temps were in high 40s when we started at 10AM. Somewhat muddy between Noonmark and Bear, at Bear Den col. Trails were clear. Gaitors may have been a bonus but we didn't & not bad without. Just thick enough coating of ice near top of Nippletop down the trail to Elk pass to make it slippery. Just water after ~4000 ft. We made it up & out in 9 hours with an 8, 10, and 16year old. Holiday wkend and Canada Thanksgiving we saw 5-6 groups on this trek. Still nice color at lower elevations.
