Muddy, but not as bad as I expected considering the rain this summer. particularly muddy in the col between D and E. most was "hoppable". Wear gaiters. There appears to have been some clearing done, so the blowdown is mostly gone. trailless? Ha! Might as well be blazed.

rumor is the trail north to Seward was fairly mucky. We didn't go that way.
