From the Kang...first part of trail was soft packed. Water crossings were snowbridged. As you start to climb the trail starts to deteriorate. Snow was very sticky and sticking to everything. Trail had lots of not quite postholes but it was a mess. Butt sledding from previous trips made it slick as anything to try and climb up.
Never made it to the summits of either. Turned around right before the shoot going to East Osceola. Coming down was extremely slippery on the upper part. My arms are still killing me from trying to stop myself from getting out of control speed. Did slip and end up off trail thankfully stopping before got hurt.
Would have like my crampons. Maybe that would have made a difference.
