East Osceola via Greeley Pond & Mt Osceola Trails 11-27-09
Date of Hike: 11-27-09
Trail Conditions: Wet, muddy, sloppy, soggy, slick conditions hiking from the Kanc up Greeley Ponds Trail. Crossing of all logs and planks in this section required the utmost care. Mix of rain & heavy wet snow at junction with Mount Osceola Trail. All snow about halfway up to the ridge. The ridge itself was blanketed in 1-2 inches of virgin snow.
Special Equipment Required: Rain gear and warm clothing.
Comments: Good to have Schorman Sr back out on the trails doing his “grid work.” Great breakfast at Brittany’s Café; incredible cask IPA & Wassail Ale at the Woodstock Inn after the climb; excellent steak tips & grilled chicken at Chez Diane’s in Hooksett.
