Trail conditions: 3" new snow at trailhead, increasing snow depths at higher elevations, ice-a-plenty beneath snow.

Special equipment required: some form of traction needed, our group varied with micro spikes, stabilicers and crampons. FULL winter gear, including face protection/goggles :)

Comments: Mt. Clinton road still open (unplowed) 4-6" when we departed. Very cold temps with plenty of ice underfoot. Snow squalls/flurries all day long. Reached the Jct of Crawford with winds in excess of 50+, rime ice galore, group split up, we ventured to the glen and decided to turn as winds were increasing. A great day to be out and sharpen up the winter skills. Thanks to Jeff & Lisa, Nico, Jeff.
