Parked at Bowman and used the Castle, Castle Ravine, Emerald, Israel Ridge and back to Castle to exit. Had to wade the numerous crossings on the Castle and Castle Ravine trails, used crocs, and some crossings close together, kept them on...not too many blowdowns on all trails..once near the Emerald/CR jct, put on microspikes to make the climb up to the Bluff...glad I took them, as snow depth ranged from 2-8 inches, and slippery going...excellent viewpoint to the Castles and the slopes of Adams and Jefferson and into Castle Ravine of course...also west into VT and north over the scrub to Cabot, Horn etc...exited via Israel Ridge, snow depth still pretty good until the second ladder descending, then took them off...ladders in good shape..easiest water crossing of them all was the one on IR up high, bigger rock hop...bugs getting active down low and temp also rising..
with snow depth and possible rain in the near future, any one using these trails should plan on wading the water crossings...
