Date of Hike: april 1st 2011

Trail Conditions: From Wilmington reservoir to asrc jct Packed Snow with bare patch, 4 to 12 inches deep. From ASRC jct to Esther summit nice winter conditions of pack snow with fresh powder, probably up to 4 feet deep, a few downed trees but nothing significant. the trail to ester is easy to follow. water crossing are easy on rocks.

Special Equipment Required: used Snowshoes and micro traction

Comments: nice day to hike, we were the only two people out there today. warm temps from -2 to 6°C, mostly cloudy with some nice views on the top. Wilmington trail seriously needs to be re mark. The red markers are often white and so widly space that you can lose track on a few occasions. At the opposite the Esther trail head is well indicated.
