Woke up this morning and looked out from the porch ... a dusting of snow on the grass:
Later I went for a short hike part way up the Osseo Trail. There were small traces of snow in shaded places from the very start, but no real snow until just before the hairpin bend that starts the switchback section. Even there it was minimal:
Osseo Trail around 2,500 feet
About a hundred vertical feet higher the snow was a bit more convincing, though nothing to write home about :
Osseo Trail around 2,600 feet
It gradually increased, though even at the end of my hike (3,100 feet) you could see brown leaves on the ground:
Osseo rail around 3,100 feet
More snow expected on Saturday night!
