Woke up this morning and looked out from the porch ... a dusting of snow on the grass:

Later I went for a short hike part way up the Osseo Trail. There were small traces of snow in shaded places from the very start, but no real snow until just before the hairpin bend that starts the switchback section. Even there it was minimal:

About a hundred vertical feet higher the snow was a bit more convincing, though nothing to write home about ;):

It gradually increased, though even at the end of my hike (3,100 feet) you could see brown leaves on the ground:

More snow expected on Saturday night!

Am going to do Flume via Osseo tomorrow so will carry microspikes just in case. I did Lincoln/Lafayette today, and there was lots more snow there. Didn't use microspikes on the way up, but did on the way down.

This all may change tomorrow night - much depends on the storm track. The snow storm last night left much more in Manchester than it did in Lincoln.
