Finally...the summit of Marcy

Hello friends, Just wanted to post a report from my climb up Mt Marcy...my friends and I finally were able to make it to the Daks for the hike up the Van Hoevenberg. We have been trying to fit this hike in for years, and it was worth the wait! We had great weather on our ascent, but thunderstorms moved in on the climb down...making the rocks a little slippery. It took us 10.5 hours total hiking time. I have a detailed trip report and lots of pics on my website at

Glad you liked the report and photos! I switched to digital in 2005 and I have not looked back! I use the Canon 20D right now...love it! Can't wait to browse your webshots collection...looks like some great hikes. Thanks again for the positive feedback.
