I love March! There's always so much excitement as snow-loving winter hikers continue to enjoy good snow conditions, and some of those hikers are looking forward to that 46th winter peak to earn their blue & white winter rocker patch and a little "w" next to their 46er number. Of course, there's much more to finishing than just a patch or a number. Along the way, we meet many new people and make new friends - that's the gift of working toward the Winter 46. The people you meet as you work toward that frozen goal make all the hard work worthwhile. I hope to see many of you at the 46ers' winter dinner in Lake Placid on March 28, and this year, I hope to be in that mass of smiling hikers who stand up front for a group picture!

Peak #46w - Sunday March 15, HPIC (Loj) 7am start, Algonquin Peak. Beers at the Lake Placid Pub & Brewery afterward. "Good Climbing"!- Bob
