John Boydston, former forest fire watchman at Big Spencer Mtn [who appeared on the ftont page of the Wall Street Journal when his lookout was closed], will present a program on the life and experiences of a fire watchman. Bill Spach will be providing many of the photos of the Moosehead Area Towers and Bill Cobb will be providing handouts of data found during the Maine Tower surveys.

The talk is at the Community House, Pritham Ave and Lakeview Street, Greenville ME. No charge for the program and donations are welcomed. Co-sponsored by the Natural Resource Education Center and the Moosehead Historical Museum. For additional information, you can call Linda Koski at 207-695-3668.

Roy, thanks for this post, I think I met John in 1987 when my son and I hiked Big Spencer, he invited us up into the cab and was very cordial to us. I hope to get up there to hear his talk.
