Trail Conditions: Most of the hike was perfect. On the Skyland Trail between Crane and Grafton Knob logging has destroyed the trail by clear cutting several huge swaths and leaving bare ground and tree stumps. The trail is wiped out. After Grafton Knob the trail is a little obscure in parts due to overgrowth.
Comments: This is a gorgeous hike , especially the Skyland Trail, a little used trail that goes from Mt Cardigan to Alexandria 4 corners with stunning views of Cardigan and Firescrew.
The logging destruction was shocking. I hiked the trail in May and it was perfect.
