Wow, that's quite a hike...and some great pictures! Did you have any company up there? We totally missed the A-10 on Kinsman, I guess it never headed our way.

Busy this week? You must be a teacher :p

Dugan and I were just below the summits on the Welch/Dickey loop at about noon when a North-bound A-10 (possibly the same one) went by just a few hundred feet above the trees. We could only see him for a couple of seconds, but it appeared he was doing a roll.

It may not help the "wilderness" experience any, but I enjoy seeing jets in action up close. :)

Homer - that would have indeed been cool! :)

Jessup - It would have been nice to have permanent company on my peak, but I settled for the few hikers that were passing through. Still, the solitude was nice. And yep, busy teaching.. and coaching cross country.. and getting ready for my next grad school class... not that I'm complaining, I'm loving every minute of it! :D

Fantastic pics! It's really great seeing the flags on these summits. Thanks! :)

Thanks guys! The camera is just an old 2.0 megapixel Fuji Finepix. For whatever reason, the pictures always come out great. It's definitely not because of me, I just frame, point and click. I guess Fujis are just great cameras?

Brownie, I'll definetly upload my pics on the site soon, probably tonight.

Hancock!

Great report and pics. The third pic down of Bondcliff is one of the best I have ever seen!
Nice Pictures, yes! FWIW, the spectacular part of that picture is not just Bondcliff but also Hancock in the Background. You get a real sense of how huge it really is. I have added a doctor-up of Artex's picture down below.
