Flowed Lands via Calamity Brook -ski 12-15-07

Skied in from Upper Works trailhead. 12" snow in the woods at trailhead deepened to about 18" 1/2 way in. Trail was about 5" good compacted base. Good cover of all but the biggest boulders and many stream crossings which were just barely covered. Lack of post-holes due to no barebooting had trail in quite good shape. Yesterday's snow should now have it in excellent shape.
Snowshoes or skis needed and layered synthetic clothing. Climbing skins for those not comfortable skiing up steep narrow trails.
