Trails below the slide dry and clear.
Slide itself very wet - beginning section (steepest and slabbiest) was a bit tricky. Some snow above the slide.
Franconia Ridge trail had snow to knee-deep. Light traction helpful for staying in the center where it's solid.
Liberty Spring trail had a thick, solid monorail which petered out below the campsite. Light traction very helpful for riding the rail; also possible to bareboot alongside.
All stream crossings trivial - wet feet, but only because I was wearing sandals.
Hot and humid all day - I went shirtless except when my feet were in the snowpack. Got down shortly after the rain started, drove through some large hail on the way home.
Woods carpeted with trout lily in full bloom near the Liberty-Flume trail junction; also plenty of trillium (painted and red). Very little wildlife in evidence; eerie pre-storm silence prevailed (except for traffic noise).
The storm probably left some new snow up on the ridge.
