Stinkyfeet, Frodo, Sir Edmund, Jessbee and I hiked the Franconia Ridge yesterday.

We started at Flume Slide and ended on Garfield. Great group to hike with! Good buttkicking hike and lots of laughs. :D :D :D

Trip report and pics are up on my website. Click here for a direct link.

It should be noted that this hike was to celebrate Stinkyfeet's Vermont 100 win.

nice report and great pics. i still can't believe how, overall, little snow was up there!! (the snowfield on lafayette pic was pretty cool)
:)

man!! i shoulda went on that hike! instead i was whackin' 3k peaks in southern vermont,we were havin' alot of fun too!! oh well, next time!! :D :D

"buttkicking"... seems like the only butt that got kicked was mine!! Great hike, great people, and nice trip report as always!

Majorly awesome trip report, Artex! Your photos are fabulous as well! I'm jealous. The weather was awesome today. I had planned to hike today, but was unable to get out! It was nice to hike vicariously through your report in pics.

Awesome trip report and pics on your site Artex! Definitely a great day with fun people. Hiking is hard enough, got to have a few laughs to pass the time… :D

I also want to say that Jessbee did awesome! She is one tough hiker... Though relatively new to hiking, she did quite well hiking with this group of whacko’s , and hopefully will join us again… :)

Post’r Boy we missed you!

Jessbee is being modest... she's tough. We did yer hike in reverse (Garfield to Flume) except we messed around Whaleback for about 2 hours before going back to the Flume-Osseo Trail and heading out w/ headlamps and she was fine. Cool hike, y'all. I wish I wasn't so knocked out from my Friday Captain hike or I would have gone. I was really looking forward to meeting Stinkyfeet & Sir Edmund, finally! Nice hike!

Very nice - that's a beautiful snowfield! Even *I* have the urge to ski that...
:)

Great pictures and trip report Jamie! I'm glad you found your camera. I wonder if the jets you saw were the same ones we heard over on the Weeks?

I agree with Fordo that Jessbee is tough...yesterday she joined the group on Galehead and the Twins for yet another butt kicking day of hiking!

Yeah, that Jessbee is one tough cookie! She done good. :D

MichaelJ- that snowfield was only a few inches deep. It might look like more because of the low angle. :D

MEB, they probably were the same. The jets were flying pretty high up. I imagine anyone hiking anywhere in the Whites heard them on Saturday.

Cool shot, Metsky! Great running into you.
