I’ve decided to forgo the Tripyramids this weekend and do the Franconia Ridge instead. I’m hiking Washington with some friends on the 17th, so I thought I would do a shack-down run to fine tune what I might need in way of extra equipment on a fully exposed ridge. All are welcome.

Sunday is starting to look like the better day. I would arrive at the Lafayette Campground parking lot between 7:30am and 7:45am and take the tunnel across the parkway to the trailhead. I would head up Falling Waters to Little Haystack and hike the ridge over to Lafayette and descend via Old Bridal Path back to my car. Looks like 8.7 miles round trip.

Just checked and tomorrow looks like 30-40% change of flurries and temps not much above zero up above. May try for Twins tomorrow

Good luck on Sunday! Look forward to hearing about it.
