A group of 8 of us broke out a path(s) to Friday and Balsam Cap, using snowshoes the entire time. The standard "hermit" route to the col, at which we took the chute up to Friday and then dropped back down below the ledges and over to Balsam Cap. Short spur trail to the viewpoint on Friday and a stop at the Balsam Cap viewpoint. Snow is deep in some spots and crusty in others, depending on the wind exposure....
