Just letting everyone know, that if you have plans for a hike this weekend (I am going Sunday ) the rivers were raging this morning. So make plans accordingly and good luck! River crossing will be diffucult (just the way I like 'em).

The wet year continues....I would expect the flashier streams on the White Mtns to head back down to lower levels by later this weekend, but they won't be easy to cross by any stretch of the imagination. These last two years have been very interesting with all the rain we've recieved. Some of the toughest crossings I have ever accomplished have been in the last couple years.

Water is definatetly high right now. Expect levels to be like spring melt. The Swift River is only a foot shy of spilling onto Bear Notch Rd. at the bridge.

I took this shot of Painted Walls this afternoon. This happens during spring melt or when there has been alot of rain.

Happy Trails :)
