Galehead & South Twin

Skied in Beaver Brook ski Trail (well marked by USFS) to Gale River Road to Gale River Trailhead. Snowshoes up to both summits. Thin cover along ski trail and road but once up about a half mile, cover got deeper. Snow bridges holding up well and snow depth up by the hut ranged form 3-5 feet. We left a well pakced out trail to Galehead and South Twin and returned the same way. Felt great to get out on a gorgeous day and field tested my other knee replacement and both titatnium knees did well. If you are badly arthritic, don't put off the replacements. A most awesome day for both Jeff's and John and I.
