Galehead & Twins Loop

Date of Hike: 31 Jan - 1 Feb 2009
Trail Conditions: Powder snow on top of a packed base. No ice. Now nicely packed by group of eight.
Special Equipment Required: Snowshoes the whole way up and back.
Comments: Broke out the Gale River trail, Frost trail to summit of Galehead, Garfield Ridge trail to South Twin, Spur trail to N. Twin. North Twin trail was mostly done by groups coming up. A bit of routefinding led to multiple tracks into traps on the Frost trail hear the hut, and in the col between the Twins (sorry about that!) but for the most part the paths are direct.
