Date of Hike: Monday, October 26
Trails Used: Garfield, Garfield Ridge, Frost, Twinway, North Twin Spur, Gale River
Trail Conditions: Garfield trail is pretty wet and some standing water until you get past the last water crossing. Water crossings are fine. After last crossing the trail is in good shape dry and wet.
Garfield Ridge is in good shape, some ice in spots, easily avoidable, only tricky spot is the steep section below campsite
Frost and Twinway are fine, some ice in places but no problems
North twin spur has some mud and ice but still avoidable for now
Gale River Trail is mostly wet and muddy. River crossings as of late Monday afternoon had a few inches of water running over some of the rocks you'd hop on but nothing that a little caution and waterproof boots couldn't handle
No Special Equipment needed
Comments: great day to be on the trails, not a cloud in the sky, very quite and peaceful. Pics here http://picasaweb.google.com/cdailey7779/MountGarfieldGaleheadSouthNorthTwin#
