My aim is to start on the Garfield Trail at 5am, head up Garfield then over to Lafayette. From there I'll consider Lincoln & Little Haystack and then return to Garfield and out. It's about 20 miles or so. I've always wanted to stand on Garfield and Lafayette in the same day and Saturday is lookin' to be nice.
I'm looking for a quiet hike and although the FR might be crowded, I bet that Garfield and the GRT will be pretty quiet in the AM. If anyone is interested in coming along, I've thought about making a carspot & parking @ Loon and instead of returning to Garfield, continuing on to Liberty, Flume and Whaleback. This is 18 something miles.
I plan on camping @ Gale River Road or Cherry Mountain Road on Saturday Night after this hike if anyone cares to join me.

Edit: I can be flexible about start time. 5am may be a little early although I like to start at the crack of dawn.
