Date of Hike: 2009.02.07
Trail Conditions: Near perfect in all ways. Both Ravine Rd. and the Gorge Brook Trail were well-packed. It would have been possible to bare-boot but it was easier with snowshoes. Everyone we passed was using snowshoes.
Special Equipment Required: Snowshoes and poles.
Comments: Beautiful day. Balmy and calm most of the way up. At the final outlook we started to feel a bit of wind. By the time we exited the scrub, winds seemed to be about 40mph. Thankfully the base temperature was only around 30F so the wind chill wasn't insane.
