Snow covered trails right from the Loj. Didn't use crampons until Lake Tear when we were glad to have them for the rest of the day. Awesome day in the high peaks! Ascented Gray first following fresh boot tracks then Skylight where we honored the weather spirits with a rock. Snow/ice covered planks between Lake Arnold and Feldspar were tricky. One boot full of water required a sock change. Removed crampons after the Avalanche Pass intersection on the way back. Look for fresh bear prints on your right after passing Marcy Dam and just before the first lean to on the way to Avalanche Pass trail intersection. Cool sight.
