Conditions: Well packed (by skis) when I got there. Area nicely tracked (by skis) between and over both ponds. Snowshoers came later in the day.
Equipment: XC skis.
Comments: Beautiful, light snow in the am, but quickly warming sun started to cook the snow. I brought no wax (I have waxless skis) and was completely powerless to hobble over the clumping snow. THANK YOU
to the kind folks who saved my day and lent me wax in the middle of the pond!
