Another climb up Greylock but via the west via the Roaring Brook trail to the Sperry Campground to the Hopper to a mix of the road and the AT to the summit.
Ice under maybe 1-3" of powder, no need for snowshoes, microspikes might be useful for those that like them or on the descents but it is still very spotty and we didn't use any traction aids other than perhaps trekking poles.
Roaring brook is really pretty and we did a loop up via roaring brook and back via the Stony Ledge trail.
About 9 miles round trip and a great view of greylock and the deep valley on the west side from the Stony Ledge viewpoint at the end of Sperry Road.
