Date of Hike: 12/22/07
Trail Conditions: Deep unbroken snow at the start of the day; a marvelous path the width of two snowshoes by days end. The sidehill section just below the switchbacks was, and is, tricky, and it is easy to start sliding down into the trees.
Special Equipment Required: Snowshoes will do it. No need for crampons.
Comments: I broke a pretty ragged trail to the summit, and was happy to pass a group of three and another two on the way down; the descent was pretty smooth. I noticed that the Lend-A-Hand trail is broken out as well.
